Although not strictly vampire-themed and also sadly lacking in the Sexy Priests Who Kill People department, LXG has made it on my playlist purely because I was in the mood for the wonderfully snarky and intolerably gorgeous Dorian Gray, a character who has done much to lessen my desire to kick Stuart Townsend in the nuts for his part in making me sit through QotD. Still, him being snarky to Secret Agent!Tom Sawyer is all kinds of funny. Poor sad Tom Sawyer. Also, seriously, what is up with Roxula's accent? Obviously when he's the Phantom, it's all generic Eastern European, and that's fine, because if 24 has taught me anything, it's that all villians come from Eastern Europe, but the rest of the time it switches from upper-class to working-class English for no obvious reason and it makes me cross with it's fakosity. Because, you know, Mr Hyde, Captain Nemo and Tom Sawyer teaming up to Fight Crime is totally believable, but stupid accents piss me off.

In other news concerning things that rule, Big Wolf on Campus is awesome. Santa's evil younger brother trying to steal Christmas, a superhero that starts fires to get attention and a demon stealing souls at a high school election are exactly what TV should be all about. That, and snide remarks about Tom Cruise and the Star Wars prequels.

Yeah, I was lucky enough to have both Sky and a DVD recorder back when Fox Kids was showing it five nights a week, so I managed to record most of the second and third seasons and buy a VHS copy of the first over the Intarwebs.

Amen. May I also add that having the president of the Gothic Fantasy Guild get knocked up with an alien's baby and his best friend aka the quarterback of the high school football team as his lamaze partner is probably the funniest thing I ever saw on tv.

I was convined that there was this bit where Tom and Quatermain are on the deck of the Nautilus and Quatermain is teaching him how to shoot, and Dorian and Mina are there, and Tom is totally trying to hit on Mina and she smacks him down and then Nemo comes up and says they're about to dive so everyone has to get below, and I swear to God, Dorian locks him out when he goes downstairs.

Then I realised I was mixing up two seperate scenes and was sad, because dude, Dorian randomly leaving Tom to drown on the deck of the Nautilus would be hilarious.

Like Dean from Supernatural! Do you have it in, ah, *checks profile* Leeds? (What the fuck kind of name is that?) He was the worst priest ever, pissing people off and making insinuations about bad mommies and flirting with everyone. He was so hot, though. And hi to the Wincest! I blame The Scarlet Letter for my prest thing, not to mention that HOT Chinese one in Dracula . . . 2000? Was it even Dracula? I don't know, some vampire movie that sucked but I totally watch on SciFi and TNT and FX anyway just 'cause the boys are so hot. *is a bad person* And Captain Nemo kicked ass, even if that stupid pseudo-smart Mina did piss me off to the extreme. I'm sorry, but Child of the Night has forever skewed any Dracula ever for me. I mean, who doesn't love it when Vlad lusts after his "Princess's" poor bastard half-brother and there's immensely satisfying torture scenes, not to mention the kinky sex? *sigh*

Omfg, canon mpreg? Seriously? I thought I had to watch creepycrappy Outer Limits eps to find that! So, that little goth boy . . . is he actually a goth boy? Or do people just paint shop that in?

Dracula 2000 had, bizarrely enough, Nathan Fillion as the priest. Which led to weird MAl/Phantom of the Opera-style ponderings and ended in me drowning my sorrows with alcohol and cursing the day Liamneeson gave me this fertile imagination. I'm not sure if Supernatural has made it over to the UK yet, although I've heard enough rumblings about it on LJ to make me curious. And great, now I totally have to see Child of the Night, just for torture, kinky sex and incestuous lustings.

Yes, there is indeed canon mpreg. For serious. Along with boybands from outer-space, time-travelling stalker ex-boyfriend samurai and the werewolf mafia, to name but a few. And Merton is indeed goth, although more at the zany and eccentric than mopey and bad poetry-writing end of the subculture spectrum.

Interesting, considering the fact he also played Father Caleb in B:tVS during the final season. He was hot. Very hot. It is so wrong to be more attracted to men with collars . . . and not the fun kinky kind.

Oh, CotN isn't a movie. (Unfortunately, and if I ever get seriously rich I am going to try and get Scribe to make graphic novels, art books, AND a TV series.) It's a one-hundred-plus chapter on-going fiction by Scribe, and it is awesome. It made me cry in parts, and some of it was so hot. It has been a long obsession of mine, and I frequently lurk her Yahoo! group for info, particularly since she's started posting David's (of The Lost Boys!) backstory, in which he is an 18th century blonde peasant boy in a NIGHTSHIRT. *fond sigh* Anyway, there's even a nifty cast page so you can have nice visuals to go with the story.

Huh. I knew they used to show it on ABCFam, but I had no idea it was such a cult thing. *eyes list* *nods* I can see why. I'm so off to Caroline Crane, now, she's got a crapload of fanfic . . .

It's brilliant, I seriously cannot sum up how awesome BWoC was. I think you can download a lot of the episodes now, too.
