that dude from the Spartacus prequel is EXACTLY what would happen if Jared Leto and Colin Farrell had a baby. LITERALLY EXACTLY. His gladiator superpower is drinking and fucking other dude's wives. What have those pussies Spartacus and Crixos got that compares? NOTHING.

I love that everyone else has to be dead serious and put in loads of effort to be all Gladiator-y, and he just kind of stumbles around drunk and is still like fifty times harder than all the dudes.

Gannicus was a freaking rock star of gladiators. I loved that he was so cool and laid back. He'd just show up hung over and kick everyone's butt. He's epic. And ridiculously pretty. I could stare at him all day long.

Asher is such a douchebag. What season are you on? Blood & Sand or still the prequel?

gannicus should totally get his own spinoff series. i dont know what it wpuld involve other than booze amd whores, but it would be beautiful.


I must be near the end of Blood and Sand (curse you badly labelled illegal downloads!) because John Hannah and Xena are still alive, but Spartacus has decided to get all his dudes to bust out. Basically this is what has happened:

Crixus and Spartacus fought a giant dude and they were almost dead but then Crixus blinded the dude with SCIENCE MAGIC and Spartacus killed him and it rained and everyone loves Spartacus

Spartacus's wife is dead, and John Hannah did it.

The lady who looks like a flatulent poodle made a dude tell Spartacus to kill the curly haired blond dude because she found out that Spartacus and the blond dude were besties

then poodle and Crixus were gonna have sex but at the last minute Xena was like "hahah it was spartacus all along PRANKED!" and poodle killed one of her fellow roman heathers for laughing

John Hannah killed the other main gladiator dude that isn't Crixus basically because Asher is horrible

crixus and naevia were in love and it was totes beautiful but then xena found out and now naevia is sold, again because asher is HORRIBLE

spartacus found out john hannah killed his wife and now hes like BITCHES GONNA DIE

John Hannah kidnapped a dude who looked like the Hemulen from the Moomins, but then he framed his enemy gladiator dude for the crime so Spartacus killed that dude but was like, "ps, totes gonna kill John Hannah" and the dude was like, lol pranked, so I guess it was okay

spartacus is trying to get crixus to be in his gang and crixus is

all like, "fuck you spartacus im gonna just be sour til i have to go to the mines or whatevs"

and a bunch of the other gladiator dudes are like, oh well, we only think stuff is cool if crixus says so, so we can't be in your gang either, sorry

and asher is HORRIBLE

I love your recap! LOL! And I totally understood every word of it and knew exactly who you meant with the characters.

Asher is HORRIBLE and deserves to die like a thousand different deaths.

Gannicus definitely needed his own spin-off. We could have his story in first becoming a gladiator. Or the "lost years" from the time he leaves at the end of Gods Of The Area to his reappearance later on. Who cares if all he does is drink, fight and screw around. He's entertaining doing it!!

i just watched.the end of blood and sand and argh i cant believe he escaped, i totally thought the whip guy who used to be gannicus's best bro was gonna kill him!

also how great was spartacus and crixus basically using cheerleading techniques to get spartacus up on the balcony? like, HUP, deadly basket throw time, roman dudes!

Oh, gee, thanks, now I'm picturing Sparty and Crixus in Cheerio outfits performing while Sue screams at them. LOL!

I hear ya on Asher. I so wanted him dead at the end of Blood & Sand. I just knew Onemanus would do it but the weasel escaped! Ugh!

I will say, it is a bit hard to adjust at first to the new Spartacus in the next season. It took me a bit to get used to him. But, by the end of the show, I'd completely accepted him in the role.

LMAO, I actually pictured something more along the lines of them being the coaches for an enemy cheerleader gang trying to bring down the Cheerios and crush their cruel reign over all the cheerleader tournaments underfoot.

But actually, Crixus and Spartacus could totally make the Cheerios uniform work for them. It probably covers quite a bit more than their Gladiator uniforms did, so it would add some sexy mystery.

See, my mind never goes anywhere remotely "normal". I instantly pictured Sparty and Crixus Cheerio uniforms. But not just any uniform, in the girl's uniforms. I think they'd rock those mini-skirts.

dude, they so would. cept the cheerio uniforms are red like the roman dudes capes, plus the roman dudes also wear pleated mini skirts, so theyd be like, "nah fuck this, lets start our own way radder cheerleader team and also figure out a way to.kill dudes with pompoms. coz we're motherfucking spartacus and crixus!"

then they would do the slow-mo twirl and high-five while going "yeaaaaaahhhhh!" like the vegan police in scott pilgrim.

It is now totally part of my headcanon that, after they freed all the slaves and defeated the Roman armies, Crixus and Spartacus became enforcers for the Vegan Police. Mostly because it would be fucking terrifying to hear Crixus growl "it's milk and eggs, bitch!" right before you get hit with the deveganizing ray, and I want to see that happening to dudes.
