I admit I wish they had stuck with the classic gun-metal gray for Rhodey's armour. The Iron Patriot armour just brings up bad memories of Norman Osborn for me. :(

On the other hand, MORE RHODEY! YAY!

Oops, sorry, I was referencing the comics. There was a storyline where Cap and Thor were dead, Iron Man was acting like a fascist prick and unfortunately dubbed a coward, and then in swooped Osborn dressed in the Iron Patriot armour and pretended to be a hero while still be being a slimey creep with his own agenda. It makes the Iron Patriot Armour a little unsavoury to me I'm afraid. :( (Comics-version Osborn is no where near as sympathetic, or fascinating (for me), as Willem Dafoe's Osborn)

how can thor be dead? i thought he was made of magic or whatever.

i never read any of the Avengers or Avengers-ajacent comics, except for that one Iron Man one where his suit was a bio-engineered tentacle monster and then he had to.fight all these insaniac other tentacle-monster-powered dudes and then i dont remember what happened but i assume he won.

That's one reason I like Norse Mythology, the gods can actually die. ;-)

yeah, but don they juat come back? like, they fo ti norse god heaven, drink and have sex with bar wenches in silly.viking hats, then go back to alive norse.god.land, which is.confusingly ALSO in heaven?

No, not really. After Ragnarok the dead gods stay dead (with the exception of Balder and that probably came later under christian influence), no heaven, no hell, which makes sense since Norse mythology really does not have a heaven or hell.

Anyway Marvel gets away with it by using Ragnarok as a cycle. So Ragnarok started, destroys the "universe" and then everything starts over again, so Thor conveniently comes back to life.

This is what happens.when all my knowledge comes from kids books that i half-remember and which were probably doing a little reinventimg of their own een at the time wen they were written. Its kind of like understanding world.history from episodes of Highlander - theres.probably some accurate.stuff in there, but its so jumbled up.with.nonsense that the wholebthing.is.just too.confusing.
