I love Generation Kill. I love so many things about it, I cannot even say with mere mouthwords.
I love that scene where they get told to take off their MOP suits and the reporter dude is like, "So there are no chemical weapons? WHAT WAS THE POINT?!" and Trombley's like, "The point is we get to kill people, you dumb fuck!" and the reporter dude.laughs and then looks at him and his grin kind of slides off his face because he realises that Trombley is NOT KIDDING.
I am sad when Brad and Nate have sad broken love because Nate decides to obey Encino Man instead of being like, "Your methods are stupid, your plan is stupid, your intelligence is stupid!" and Brad is all, WE ARE BETRAYED!! because yes, but also no because SAD NATE JUST TRYING TO OBEY ORDERS, but it's okay because by the next episode they are in beautiful love again and Brad is happy.
I love when Rudy is worried that he might not have done the right thing by sniping those snipey rocket dudes, and he tells Chaffin and Chaffin responds by saying he'd liked to have been one of the dudes who bombed Hiroshima.
I love that Brad has a whole rant about why religion doesn't belong in the Marine Corps, and when he's done, Trombley's like, "What does that mean?" and Ray pops up from behind the Jeep and summarizes this three-minute rant as boiling down to "religion is gay."
I love a thousand other things about it, but I can't tell you about them now because I have to eat my yoghurt and watch the last episode.
