In keeping with the holiday spirit, and to make up for the fact that the journal has been sadly lacking in news of chocolate or duckies or Zombie Jesus over the weekend, I present to you:
Okay, you know how Liamneeson was the voice for Aslan in the new Narnia movie? And Aslan is a Jesuslion and there were chocolate Aslans for sale to promote the movie and yeah... chocolatey Jesuslion. Also led to the immortal phrase "Why must you always eat my Gods?!"
My hair... it's very, very long and very thick, and when it hasn't been conditioned for a few days, it tries to eat small children.
The show I'm watching is Miami Vice, my own personal GCF of choice. And ironically, Sonny's first partner, Eddie Rivera? Totally the same actor who played Bobby Simone in NYPD Blue. Also Bail Organa in RotS.
Okay, yet another immortal froodle quote to add to my rapidly-growing collection. And, no, I don't, I haven't seen it yet! It's pissing me off. I just manage to keep missing my chances, is all. *shrugs*
Ah. Yes. I completely and totally understand that. My hair has recently grown so long I wind up sitting on it. It's a pain in the ass, but my mother likes to see it down because "it's pretty" (it looks like a tumbleweed at worst, and an almighty fuzzy river of mud at best) and my sisters like to braid it in pigtails to use as reins all the damn time.
Hmm. Okay, thought about acting all superior and knowing, but dropped that--what's a GCF? IMDb's getting a damn good workout these days. So, Miami Vice, Dukes of Hazzard, Magnum P.I., and Hawaii Five-O. I think that's it. So far I've only seen Dukes of Hazzard. Still working on the others . . .
Parents, eh? My mum is forever trying to get me to cut and style mine. Of course, in her eyes a female who doesn't wear makeup, shave her legs or under her arms (and wears vest-tops, omg the indecency!) and regard getting wedded and bedded to a man with enough money to keep her in hideous and stupidly expensive designer clothing might as well grow a second head and come from outer space, so her advice is generally regarded by me as suspect.
GCF is a Gay Cop Fandom. I just randomly made it up because I couldn't be assed typing Gay Cop Fandom over and over again, so it's not like you missed out on some OMG BIG IMPORTANT FANDOM DEVELOPMENT
Bleargh. Just--bleargh. I hate wearing make-up. And I hate styling my hair. Last time I agreed to it, I wound up standing in the bathroom for two and a half hours with both sisters and my mom flitting around me ironing my hair. It looked pretty . . . for about five seconds. And then by some physics-defying miracle of nature, little strands started (I shit you not) floating upwards. I'm serious, it was freaking me out, I looked like a goddamn puffball. And, ye gods, designer clothing? My mom considers herself blessed if she can get me out of t-shirts.
*sheepish grin* Yeah, I figured that out maybe ten seconds after I posted, thanks to BGF - Big Gay Fandom. Meh. Whatever.
