Hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year or the equivilent winter-time celebrations. I have been sworn to secrecy as to any events that may or may not have occured in these parts, but I can tell you now that it involved the Pope, a giant mecha bunny rabbit and a sentient, and also thoroughly evil, fridge entity. Also pizza, Baileys and more Dukes of Hazzard than can possibly be good for anyone.

For SG:A

1. The first character I first fell in love with
Pointy, aka John Sheppard. The first episode I saw, he was talking to some alien tribe and they asked where he came from, and he replied, completely straightfaced, "A galaxy far, far away."

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
Smalls, aka Rodney McKay. He really annoyed me in SG1, but that episode where he's wearing an Atlantean shield that won't let him eat and he and John test it by having John shoot him in the leg and then later on he faints from "manly hunger" had me in hysterics.

3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
Ronon Dex. Fuck. Off. Ronon.

4. The character I love that everyone else hates
Bob the Wraith. Steve gets all the attention, just because he was in more than one episode and died of plot contrivance, but nobody ever stops to spare a thought for Bob. Bob was awesome.

5. The character I used to love but don't any longer
Ford. I thought he was great until that whole thing at the end of season 1, and now he's just like, "Oh boohoo, I am an ugly freak who likes to eat Wraith glands." Shut the fuck up, Ford. If I was Pointy I'd have smacked the shit out of you by now, dragged you back to Atlantis and had you sent home to Earth in disgrace, where I would have paid midgets to beat you with sticks every day for the rest of your miserable drug-addicted whiny life.

6. The character I would shag anytime
Scottish Doctor, aka Carson, just for being such a sweetheart.

7. The character I'd want to be like
Either Smalls, because he's smart and sarcastic, or Pointy, because he's cool and has good hair.

8. The character I'd slap
Beard, aka Jinto's Dad, for having a fucktarded beard and only caring about his stupid kid.

9. A pairing that I love
Fluffyhaired Doctor (aka Zelenka) and Smalls. Also Steve/Pointy, because I'm a sick, sick person.

10. A pairing that I despise
Teyla and Pointy. OH GOD SHUT UP TEYLA!

For SG1:

1. The first character I first fell in love with
Jack. I was pretty indifferent to the show as a whole until that episode where he and Head get stuck in the timeloop, but him drawing that little face on his plate with ketchup and mustard, riding his bike through the SGC, handing in his resignation and snogging Carter senseless and playing golf through the open Stargate was just inspired.

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
Head. I thought he was too serious and boring and "OMG I'M AN OUTCAST AMONG MY OWN PEOPLE BOOHOO" to like, but he has these brilliant little quirks, like the love for trashy TV or the appalling fashion sense, or his tendancy to go on strange adventures with Jack. And of course, his abhorrance for fishing.

3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
Daniel. I don't hate Daniel (at least when he's not being stupid and whiny about Sha're) and I was certainly glad to get him back after the horror that was Jonas McRoundhead, but I don't squee over him the way a lot of the SG fandom seems to. Plus he looks like Cliff Richards.

4. The character I love that everyone else hates
Methos!Controllin' Worm. I can't remember what his actual name was (Tanith? Tarzen? Tarzinia?) but dude, it's Methos! He must be loved.

5. The character I used to love but don't any longer
Janet. Because she's dead!

6. The character I would shag anytime
Janet, if she wasn't dead, because she's diiiirty.

7. The character I'd want to be like
Jack, because he rocks.

8. The character I'd slap
That Senetor Kinsey dude. God I hate him! Every time he shows up, you know the episode is going to be a dead loss.

Jack/Daniel. Because really, what else is there?

Daniel/that ginger chick who is Osiris. Nobody gives a fuck, okay? You're ugly and you're ginger and you have a controllin' worm in you.
