Why has nobody designed a shirt that combines Sons of Anarchy with Eerie Indiana in the form of a "Sons of Eerie/the Unkind Ones" patch? That needs to be a thing.
You know a group of people could find a good fan artist, club together and pay them to do it. If a bunch of people chipped in it wouldn't be so bad....
I've seen people buy commissions from fan-artists plenty of times, but I've always assumed it was a one-to-one transaction between the artist and that one person, and also that it was for one actual physical piece, like a print or whatevs.
But now that you've pointed it out, there isn't any reason you couldnt pay someone to draw you something in PNG that you can then stick on mugs/shirts/bags (I would totally have EI bedding if I could).
Sorry it's taken a couple of days to get back to you - I've been flying most of the weekend. Home and jetlagged now...
I've commissioned quite a few fanarts in the past, and yeah in general it is a one-to-one commission because fanart tends to be a personal thing, but all most artists want is to be paid for their work so I doubt that there would be many there that would complain about having more than one person as the receiver.
Normally with the art I've commissioned I've received a HQ file of the piece that's mine to do with as I please, and the artist is free to post the lower quality image wherever they want to show their work. There are artists that on Redbubble or even Deviant Art that print their work onto t-shirts or posters or whatever through the website, so it might be worth contacting one of them to commission them.
sweet, I already have a few artists on rb that I know I like and regularly stalk to see if theyve added new stuff, now I just need to read their wordy bits to see if they accept commisions!
I also messaged this artist: http://www.redbubble.com/people/kudiart because I like her mlp and adventure time stuff, and she has a bobs burgers crest that is sort of like what I want my eerie crest to look like.
no idea if she actually accepts commisions tho - her profile was kind of spare - but I figured it wouldnt kill me to ask!
The clip clop one? Yeah I like that too. It's always worth asking. Sometimes you might find there's a waiting list or the artist is taking a break even if they do take commissions, but something will come up eventually.
yeah, thats the one. ive never actually seen bobs burgers but fanart for it shows up so often im just like, oh yeah, bobs burgers. like how I think basically everyone in the uk had seen the adventure time artwork before the show made it over here.

Have you ever done anything like that?
