I love winter. There's nothing quite like being curled under a duvet reading or watching a film while outside the rain beats down on the windows and the wind howls like it's trying to tear the roof off your house. It's misty and dusk lasts from four 'til seven every day, and I'm drinking hot chocolate with whipped cream and cinnemon and reading John Connelly's latest book, which was released yesterday, for those of you who care.

It doesn't get any better than this.

I love winter evenings like that. What I don't love is standing in the not-quite-proper rain wondering if it would be worth getting out my umbrella and if I could even hold it.

Aah, I should probably have said that I love winter providing I don't have to go out in it. Unless it's to visit the German Faire and drink mulled wine and eat chocolate and ride the big people carosel. Because that's cool.

You've started a whole new obsession for me (not that I don't have plenty kicking around already :)) - I've not got my grubby mitts on the new JC novel yet but am sorely tempted now.

It's not actually a novel, it's a collection of spoooooooky short stories. But Bird was in it and so were Angel and Louis and it made me say 'YAYOMGANGELANDLOUIS!'. And then my friends were like, "Okay, we're not going to the bookshop with you anymore. You obviously can't be trusted."

And then I was sad.

I think that I'm sold already! I've just finished Dark Hollow again. I blame reading that and Neil Gaiman for me having weird dreams :). That sounds like a perfectly natural reaction to me.
