Meme 1: I like Carson, I like John, but I can honestly say it never occured to me to ship them together. I see Carson more with Rodney (that scene where Rodney dreams about him fishing after he dies, OH!), and of course John belongs with Todd as far as I'm concerned.

Meme 2: Cooper
How I feel about this character: LOVE him. Love him beyond all words. Would carry him around in my pocket if I could.
All the people I ship romantically with this character: Albert, Albert, Albert, Albert and Albert. Also Audrey, on my less-petty days Sheriff Truman, and on my sick-and-wronger days, Windom Earle.
My non-romantic OTP for this character: I loved his interactions with the Log Lady - the part where she sees him in the Double R and tells him her log as something to say, and she's like, "ask it" and he hestiates and she's all, "I thought so!" in this really sneery way, like HE'S the weirdo because he can't bring himself to question a log. And then later at the cabin when he goes to take a cookie and she slaps his hand!
My unpopular opinion about this character: while I wasn't overly invested in it, I don't hate the idea of Annie/Cooper the way a lot of the fandom seem to.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I wish there had been a third season and we could have seen Cooper dealing with being possessed by BOB and obviously since this is MY fantasy he would win in the end and everything would be okay.

Meme 3: Eerie, Indiana
The first character I fell in love with: Dash. OH DASH.
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Melanie. I think the first time I watched it I was too jealous of her for being pretty and having two hot guys after her. Of course, now I'm not thirteen anymore so I don't irrationally view her as the competition for the affection of MADE UP PEOPLE.
The character everyone else loves that I don't: I don't know how much the rest of the fandom love him (if at all) but I really didn't like Howard from Tornado Days. I just found him really irritating.
The character I love that everyone else hates: Again, I don't know that everyone else HATES him, but I adore Mayor Chisel - he's so dodgy and unrepentant!
The character I used to love but don't any longer: I don't think there are any that I've gone off over time. The ones I loved best back in the day are still the ones I love now.
The character I would shag anytime: Dash. YES EVEN THOUGH HE IS ABOUT FIFTEEN, I WOULD HIT THAT. He doesn't have an identity, it's not like people could prove statutory rape.
The character I'd want to be like: Janet Donner - she was smart and tough enough to survive on her own for a year, and unlike practically every other kid in Eerie who isn't Marshall, her family didn't UTTERLY SUCK.
The character I'd slap: Tod's dad. And Sarah-Bob's entire family. And Simon's parents, even though you never see them.

hee, Beckett/Sheppard is my favourite pairing, so I thought I'd see what you thought of it :P

I liked Annie/Cooper...didn't know people didn't. Huh. And IA with the third season necessity (and of course him winning).

I don't want them to remake it because I don't want other people to play the characters, but I would love if they made a movie with the original actors coming back and had it be them grown up and still dealing with Eerie hence my fic idea

The anti-Cooper/Annie thing might be one of those weird internet things - you know when it;s actually just a small group of people who hate it, but they're super-vocal, and everyone else doesn't really care so it looks like it's an overwhelming majority complaining about something?

For me there would totally not be a point in a third season if Cooper didn't win in the end - I mean, there are downer endings and then there are endings so depressing that your fanbase COMMITS FANDOM SUICIDE as soon as it airs. And he's the heart of the show, so I couldn't imagine it continuing without him, and I know I definately wouldn't be watching if it did.

I know exactly what you mean about a remake, especially since we already had the Other Dimension and it was... not good, but I look at stuff being produced by HBO and AMC and how great they are, and I think, "if you guys would just take a shot at doing a kids show, I bet you would ROCK IT SO HARD!" and, frankly, I just WANT THERE TO BE MORE EERIE INDIANA.

God, if they made a movie like that it would probably complete my whole life! Did you find a beta for your fic, btw?

Have you read any of the EI books? I haven't, but I'm kind of interested in doing so. Thing is, I think they were done just prior to the Other Dimension being released, so I'm worried that the magic of the original might not transfer over.

Damn! Well, if you don;t manage to find a proper one in time, I'll have a go for you (this is probably a better deal for me than it is for you, mind)

I haven't. I also never saw The Other Dimension. I was talking to Chibimarchy back when I first got the DVDs about the books, iirc she had some recs...I'll have to see if I can dig up that post again. hmm

(Damn straight, it is a purely selfish exercise for me! i dont volunteer often because i feel guilty when there are all these really GOOD betas who genuinely want to help someone improve their craft and my contributions are pretty much 1) run spellcheck 2) try to convince writer to put porn in there. but EI is too small a fandom for me to not indulge my selfish impulses!)
