If I was a bad guy in Bleach who wasn't Aizen, I would come home from my Lair of Evilness every night in tears because no matter what evil deeds I had done that day, I could never, ever be as big of a monster as Aizen is. I'm suprised people in Bleach don't just swear off evilness in general until he's dead, because it's not like you are going to get a look-in as the Big Bad while he's around, he's such an awfulness-hog.

Let me guess. Hinamori? Or some other particular act? Or just in general?

You know, when I was talking with friends about good voice actors, I said that they should have got Tom Baker (yes, the Fourth Doctor) to dub Aizen. He'd have been incredible. Both before the reveal, when everyone sees him as the One Honest Man . . . and afterwards.

The bit where he stabs his little sidekick girl was horrible, but then he made it worse by leaving her corpse there for her friend (the little boy captain with the spiky hair) to find, AND THEN HE OPENLY MOCKED THE LITTLE BOY CAPTAIN FOR BEING SAD THAT HIS FRIEND WAS DEAD! It was just awfulness piled on awfulness with a sprinkle of PURE AWFUL on top!

Ooo, I hadn't thought of that, but YES.

Gin's English voice actor is really good - everything he says has this supercillious undertone that is RIGHT THERE but isn't quite obvious enough for the other characters to call him out on without him just feigning ignorance.

When you think about it, he was deliberately provoking Hitsugaya (the little boy captain) into charging head on and thus walking right into it. I'm not sure if that makes him more or less evil (deliberate provocation vs nasty gloating). :)

And believe me, there is worse evil to come. Much worse.

I suppose viewed that way, his nastiness at least had a purpose behind it, rather than just being dickish for the sake of it. But still, SO AWFUL. He's the creepy bad guy that other creepy bad guys don't invite to the creepy bad guy party because they get uncomfortable about how INCREDIBLY CREEPY Aizen can get.

Or they're worried that he'll take over their power base when they aren't looking. :)
