I don't care if it's the actual, true-to-life term, the word "unsub" sounds stupid and made-up to me. They might as well be referring to the baddie as the "Rattius Finneganeous" (the proper name for a Rat Finnegan, in case you didn't know) for all the sense it makes to my ears.
