I've seen every episode of "Criminal Minds" (that's aired in the UK so far) and I don't remember Eric Johnson being in it (I just imdb'd it and he played Hotch's brother? I remember the character and the episode but not him being in it). I watch a show called "Rookie Blue" and he's a regular in that. I still just think of him as Whitney though.
It's the episode that re-ran earlier today - I'm watching Criminal Minds for the first time EVER and I still know very few of the names and when he came on I was like, WHITNEY! OH HI WHITNEY! I KNOW YOU! He will always be Whitney now, no matter what he goes on to appear in.
I think I need to watch Rookie Blue to see Whitney having crime-solving adventures of his own instead of just following Agent Hotchner's eyebrows around wistfully. My life requires additional Whitney.
"Criminal Minds" is probably my favourite procedural show. I think it gets better as it goes on actually. I'm on season seven now and it's as good as ever. Reid's my favourite. I do like Hotch though but I still remember him being Greg from "Dharma and Greg". You've got some great episodes coming up.
When Whitney appeared in "Supernatural" I was like "dude, it's Whitney!".
I enjoy "Rookie Blue" - Whitney plays a detective. He's pretty hot in it actually.
OH GOD, why did you have to point out that he was in Dharma and Greg?? I had successfully repressed all memories of their hideous evil from my mind, and now I can't love Agent Hotchner anymore because you reminded me of his former crimes against humanity! I will have to transfer all of my love to Spencer Reid, at least until I learn some other names.
Whitney was in this direct-to-video werewolf movie sequal called Ginger Snaps: Unleashed, and as soon as he showed up I was like, OH HI WHITNEY I MISSED YOU! He was in a show where he was a superhero too, but I heard it was really, REALLY bad so I never watched it. I would like to see Whitney being a beautiful superhero though. MAYBE ONE DAY.
Sorry! I used to watch that show back in the day but I don't remember it that well. Apart from him being Greg anyway - and every time I see Jenna Elfman I think "oh look, it's Dharma".
Yep. Love Reid anyway, he's awesome. So is Morgan though. And I like Garcia.
Oh really? I wonder what that superhero show was. Gonna have to look it up.
LALALA NOT LISTENING TO DHARMA-AND-GREG-RELATED HORRORS.
So far I like all of them most of the time- occaisonally one of them (usually Agent Hotchner or that other old dude who wears jeans) is mean to one of the baby agents, and that makes me sad, but only for like half an episode.
I checked on IMDB and it was Flash Gordon, a name so incredibly stupid that I now feel even less desire to check it out, even for poor abused Whitney.
I think the older dude is Gideon, yeah - he's the in-charge one who ISN'T Agent Hotchner. Right at the start he's all sad because he captured this bomber dude who made a bunch of agents explode and Reid's boyfriend doesn't want to work with him because he's afraid that he might explode too, but Agent Hotchner is basically like LOL SHUT UP and then they're all friends after a few episodes.
Elle seems okay to me - maybe not as engaging as some of the others, but nothing to complain about. That's what I like about the ensemble shows - even if a couple of the characters don't really speak to you, as long as they're not actively annoying, they can be safely glossed over in favour of the more fun teammates. I like the computer tech who looks like a 50s pin-up and the blonde one who isn't a behaviour-police but does all the media controlling stuff.
So far, I have seen almost all of season 1, most of seasons 5 and 6 and a tiny bit of season 2. I also snuck a guilty look at a couple of episodes from the new season, because I am weak and Living was taunting me by advertising them all the time.

What episodes have you seen so far? I don't want to spoil anything.
