Okay, I just finished watching the second season of Heroes, and I will at least semi-retract all the snarky comments I made about Sylar being a complete 'tard in terms of villiany. I mean, he's still pretty much a whiny little bitch in an alpha-male body, and he certainly doesn't stand up to time-honoured villians of awesome such as Angelus and the Mayor*, but I did absolutely piss myself laughing when he shot Maya. It was that irritated eye-roll that he gives Mohinder when she starts shrieking about her dead gay brother, as if anyone cares, and he's all like, "look what I have to put up with!" and then GUNSHOT WOUND FOR FUCKING ANNOYING NEW CHARACTER!

Also, I really do not care if Adam/Kensei/whatever is evil or not, because he is hi-lariously awesome and completely wins at drunkenness and sucker-punching folk and generally being suave and English and not crying about everything like a big fucking loser, and that makes a man rise very high in my estimation. Not to mention the fact that if it wasn't for him, Nathan would still be all manky and irradiated from exposure to exploding Peters, and I believe I have previously noted that Nathan is hot to such an extreme degree that I actually find it confusing, and as such I cannot tolerate such rare levels of hotness being messed with.

Hmm, I thought I had more to say here, but probably talking about the hotness of Nathan has driven any other thoughts out of my mind, so I'll leave it here.

*For the record, he can't karate-chop midgets either, but I'm pretty sure that is a super-power unique to Colin Farrel, so I won't bitch.

Adam is just the king of awesomeness. While I disapprove of people running around killing Sulus for no reason, you do have to be pretty hardcore to get away with it. I hope he gets out in season 3 and has a tonne of morally suspect hinjinx that takes up lots of screentime.

If Sylar does more shooting of annoying bints and less crying like a little girl next season, I may revise my opinion of him. Any karate-chopping of midgets will count in his favour also. Otherwise, he's still not getting invited to Cape Day.

I've ordred the 2nd season and should be arriving by Aug 25th from Amazon. I absolutly HATED the second season (except Matt/Mohinder being gay fathers and all) - but am a fan of Heroes in general, so I hope the 3rd season is as great as everyone is anticipating.

I also tried to watch Black Sheep last night but couldn't because my daughter was all like "I'm teething bitch! Coddle me!" So, hopefully I'll be able to watch it tonight.

I liked that bit where Matt and Mohinder had a big snitfest over which one of them had the worst daddy issues, and Kensei was lots of fun until Hiro infected him with earnestness and he got all serious and started helping folk (not allowed!) but then he became Adam and got all Armageddon-tastic on everyone and it was awesome again. Maya was fucking annoying, Elle was fucking annoying, Candice was always fucking annoying but she's dead so hahah, Micah's gran needs to lay some Voodoo smackdown on someone because I say so, and Bob was awesome. More Bob!

Excellent! When you're done, go and watch In Bruges and wake your teething daughter with your helpless laughter.

It is the Best Film Ever. Seriously. I love it more than Heathers, and that is nearly an impossible thing. The bit where Ray tries to apologise to Jimmy for karate-chopping him, and Jimmy's wearing the schoolboy uniform and Ray and Chloe can't stop laughing and Jimmy's like, "I would like to believe you, Ray, if the two of you weren't laughing straight in my fucking face!"

I want a t-shirt with "Fuck off, midgets!" on it. But then some midgets might take it to mean I was telling midgets to fuck off and take offence and attack me with their unproportionate midget hands, and unlike Colin Farrel I don't know karate so I might not be able to beat them back.

Also that bit where Yuri offers Ralph Fiennes the dum-dums, and he's like, "I shouldn't, but I will," *takes one* *pause* *takes two more* *pause* *takes whole box* and in the same scene, where he completely burns the half-blind skinhead by saying it's his own stupid fault Colin Farrel shot him in the face, and the skinhead looks completely crushed.

Clémence Poésy is great in it too. Her french films are fantastic. She is a really good actress.
