Having spent most of yesterday on the 'phone to various financial institutions both here and back home, (and, you know, the Samaritans) have persuaded the DoE to let me resubmit my application as a non-supported full-time student, therefore taking my idiot parents out of the equation entirely. Have also discovered that there's a Parish Fund I can apply for. So, things not so dark.

Am still considering killing my parents, because although getting caught would mean I lose my right to inherit, and even if I got away with it it would be months 'til I saw any money, I feel the deed itself would bring me a great sense of tranquility.

No, no, I kid.

Dude, that whole situation is muy crap. Almost the exact same thing happened to me, so I know your pain. How many more million pages of paper are you going to have to fill out now?

Thanks for the sympathy; I'm so glad there's several miles of ocean seperating me from the parental units right now, as I honestly don't think I could be in their immediate vicinity without throwing something at them. A punch, poisoned darts, the glass coffee table...

God, I just got woken up by the postman delivering the forms. It is, literally, an inch thick. On plus side, IOM Government sent it by registered post and paid for my return postage, so I'm going to take this as an indication that they're taking this situation seriously.

No, I kid. My school didn;t offer classes in making evil robots. It was really a very poor quality of education.
