So if Teyla has heard of runners but thought it was just a myth, it's obviously not that common a thing and presumably not something all or even a majority of wraith are in to. Are they like the equivalent of humans who fox hunt, like they're the Jacob reese moog of wraith society and the other wraith are looking at them like "the state of this clueless fucking melt, jesus" and cringing with contact embarrassment?

I bet they are, or rather: I find the idea that they are unexpectedly amusing, so I want to believe that they are. Even soul-and-life-sucking alien vampires have standards! Play with your food during meals, not before!

Remember when there was a planet full of kids who did themselves in before they reached 25 and the idea was that the wraith didn't feed on children and ford explicitly compared it to veal? I *so* wanted that to have been true, like there were ethical concerns about sucking the lives out of children.

Or like there's a contingent of the wraith who are all, "it's just not ecologically sustainable" and there's other wraith who are using the hive ships as battery farms, like its a teeny tiny closet, just squish these twelve humans in here it'll be fine!!

I do remember that planet. Ford's comment had apparently slipped my mind, but ha!

Given that Wraith sort of almost live forever (I think?) they must have plenty of time for philosophy and ethical debates and 'will nobody think of the environment/the children/the next generation' and stuff.
