froodleOh my God, is there any need for it to be this hot? Seriously, I think I might actually die. Or invest in a parasol. One or the other.
Work continues apace - was in a spectacularly bad mood Friday after a day filled with stupid people - some old woman rang to complain that an engineer had come to fix her boiler, turned the thermostat up and resulted in her bill being higher than usual. Turned out it was an engineer sent by the council and therefore nothing to do with us. When I explained this, the bitch accused me of passing the buck and started whining about how she was a 91 year old widow. I just felt like saying "So? Stop your whining, you'll be dead by the time the bill comes due!" Then some loser moaning about how, because he'd come off this price protection tariff (when it ended, not because we meanly decided to take him off, I stress!) his bill was £5 higher than last quarter. I wouldn't care anyway, but this dickhead spent over an hour moaning about it - I was like, "Well guess what, fucktard? You just wasted another fiver being too dumb to understand maths and making me explain everything thirty times!" I hope these people's houses blow up.
Speaking of blown up, I finally got around to watching Breakfast on Pluto, after it's been sitting on my shelves since November. And it had Dakin! But then he exploded. But Dakin! I am very sad that he got blown up, as I think we can all agree Dakin/Cillian Murphy would be extremely hot. I am kind of traumatised at the whole bit with Liamneeson being Cillian's dad, though - it renders a huge chunk of Batman Begins fanfiction extremely perverse. And not in the fun way.
In other news, I have come to the conclusion that the reason Kougajii has lasted so long as a baddie in Saiyuki, even though he's not actually very good at it (poor Kougajii!) is because he's pretty much the only enemy they have who is not a total sex-pest. Of course, this is mostly because he has that whole slightly creepy thing with his mum, but never-the-less, good for you, Kougajii. Way to not be a total creepy stalker.
