Fuck you, Homicide! I swear to God, just fuck you! Not content with ruining nearly two weeks of good fandom-intentions, you have to sneak into my other fandoms and wreck them for me too. To recap: it's Sunday afternoon. I've just made a big batch of brownies with nuts and I'm kicking back with a plate of chocolatey goodness, a glass of milk and Eerie, Indiana. Thanks to the beautifulness that is Agent Sands (MOAR AGENT SANDS PLZ!) last night, I have more or less gotten over my Homicide-related hissy fit and I'm feeling pretty mellow. I'm watching No Brain, No Pain and it's that scene where Syndi is looking after the crazy homeless dude and she's trying to explain Todd and Donna in Latvian and suddenly I'm thinking, "Wait a minute, I know that voice..." and it's fucking Kyle Secor aka Wee Bayliss playing Todd, and suddenly all my hatred comes rushing back and the whole experiance is ruined and I go off in a sulk to watch Escaflowne. DON'T FUCKING FOLLOW ME THERE, WEE BAYLISS! THE LOVE IS DEAD!

Fuck you, Homicide. Seriously.

Mmm, brownies. I hope they lessened the shock a bit. And I need to someday sit down and watch Escaflowne in its entirety, as I've only seen like the first 10 episodes (and watered-down versions at that).

They did help a little, mostly because they had nuts, which are the key to brownie success and only losers eat brownies without them.

Escaflowne is fantastic, it's totally worth spending the day on. The movie is a bit trippy, though - random exploding horses and Folken appears to have morphed into Jareth the Goblin King, but I think that only adds to its charms.

Ah ha ha! I've seen the movie, and geez, I never made that connection to Labyrinth! Maybe that would've made it less depressing, because after I watched it, I had to immediately go watch something happy. :/

Hee, you seem to have quite a mixed bag of fandoms. As do I- it's hard to pin down a particular genre, isn't it?

I like to think of myself as following the genre of Pure Awesome. Pure Awesome can take many guises, but much like pornography, you always know itwhen you see it.
