froodleWhelp, my period of blissful unemployment came to an end on Monday, and I am once again a productive, tax-paying member of society. Le sigh.
I was actually offered two jobs, one in a firm of conveyancers and the other being a Phone Monkey for British Gas. Much debate over whether I should choose CV-enhancing experiance over lots of money and being able to walk to work, which ended when I realised that both my heart and brain belong to a very greedy, lazy person who will always take the easiest path open to her.
So, here I am at British Gas, making use of their free internet cafe, (I haven't tested its porn-finding capabilities just yet) four days into my training, getting paid a shedload of money to sit and look at PowerPoint presentations. It's all pretty good so far, although I'm kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop and the true horror behind the facade to be revealed.
In news that relates to my smelly ex-job and in particular a certain Goombatastic manager, he got suspended from work on Monday for selling cocaine to coworkers. Oh, karma, how I love you! It's not quite the horrible wasting disease I wished upon him, but it will do in a pinch.
In other news, I would like to state catagorically that despite the vicious lies perpetuated by Snithy, I had absolutely nothing to do with the horrors occuring over at dissident-dream, that I was in fact an innocent bystander and that I would never, ever, lend my considerable genius to the creation of such a monstrosity.
Anyway, that's pretty much all I have to say for myself at the moment; the Unquiet is out tomorrow, so expect much squeeing from me on that subject in the near future, and I shall speak to you all anon.
