So, now that I am slightly less traumatized by the Big Damn Death Scene, I would like to point out a few things that I really liked:

Mal in women's clothing. Much like soup in the hair, it's always a hoot.

Jayne and Simon drinking out of the same bottle. Because it's too damn cute to be borne.

"If I'm not back in an hour, you take this ship and you come rescue me." Although I do think Mal got too many of the really great lines, this one made me laugh. That scene in War Stories (*sob* Wash!) where Zoe, Jayne and Wash (*sob*) go to rescue Mal, and he's battling Nishka's henchman and Jayne points the gun at the Henchman and Zoe's like, "Jayne, no. This is something the Captain has to do on his own," and Mal's like *being-strangled voice* "No! No it's not!" and Zoe's like, "Oh," and then all three of them fire at the Henchman together? Was one of comparitvely few amusing moments in that episode. (Although Janye naturally rescues it from total retardation with just two lines: "I'll be in my bunk" and "Oh hey, free soup!")

Simon advising River on what do to if she runs into trouble on the job with Mal: "Drop to the ground and lie still, or run away." *pauses, looks at the rest of the crew* "It's okay to leave them to die."

Jayne getting all worried about River when she freaks out right before the Reavers attack that town: Aww! I love my Jayne.

"That's not incense." Okay, maybe Inara wasn't so tedious this time around.

Mal: You wanna run this ship?!
Jayne: Yes.
Mal: Well... you can't.

The crew chucking popcorn at the screen during Inara and Mal's exchange. Oh, have I ever been there.

Did I mention Simon and Jayne drink out of the same bottle? Because they do. And it's damn cute.
