I just watched the series finale of Just Add Magic, and oh glob you guys, somebody please watch it so I have people to flail about it with.

Also, it had better get renewed for a second season.

Just finished episode 2 because I am too tired to either do any more dissertation research or move from this sofa.

Have decided that Brain Boosting Bolognese is my only hope.

Seriously, this is one of those shows where I'm liking it now, but would have fallen in love with it forever if I'd met it when I was nine!

Have you seen Just Add Dogs yet? I think it's episode four, and it is BEGGING for a Bureau of the Lost crossover.

I am so glad I'm not the only person who thought this exact thing. I actually started making notes on how that might work immediately after watching this one. (I do have to go back and check to see how much sense they make, because I realized belatedly that part of the reason I was feeling so run down yesterday was because I was actually sick.)

I'm going to see if I can get caught up enough on real life to finish the binge watch in the next couple of days. And also do the Eerie script post.

I literally HOWLED with laughter at that scene. "So long, suckers!" By the time she got on Jake's tiny bike and rode away, I was actually laughing so hard, I was crying. And then immediately went on Redbubble and felt very disappointed at the lack of PLUOTS ARE DUMB!! shirts.

Also, the bit after the little brother is in the play and the mum's like, "You were so much better than that apricot kid", and she says it SO VICIOUSLY, like, yeah, fuck that dumb eight year old, let's beat her up! Fucking apricots! Pretty sure there's a missing scene where Kelly's parents knock that apricot kid down some stairs and unconvincingly protest that it was an accident.

If there isn't a season two, and I don't get to see what the deal with the villainous Arthur Fonzerelli clone, I'm going to be so disappointed.

It's passed "Must have been dark times, those '90s" from Gravity Falls as my new favorite random line from a TV series.

And Mama P is hands down my favorite character. That scene was glorious!

The parents are hilarious, too! That scene. And the whole of "Just Add Mom" with overly honest mom, and the one where they revert to their younger selves, and...

Yeah, if we don't more of this, I will be sad.

I may check out Gortimer Gibbons in the meantime, since Amazon keeps recommending that to me now.

In the pilot, right at the end, Mama P does this evil smile and im like, hmm, not the most convincing evil smile ive ever seen, but once she starts trolling, she trolls SO WELL.

I love the bit in the truth truffles episode where they feed Mama P a truffle, start asking her a question, and she immediately holds up a hand and eats the other one to nix the spell.

And she's SO TROLLY with it, like, did the girls honestly think shed fall for it, knowing she knows what the cookbook is?!

The mum and dad playing videogames and eating junk food and being an adorable couple was just the cutest thing ever. And the brutally honest mum was HILARIOUS. "Id rather be by myself than walk around a comic book convention all day."
