Jan. 24th, 2012 08:09 pmSo I rang up this morning and I have my grave-digging job interview on Friday. Was talking to Johnny about the difficulty I'm having trying to decide what to wear - the usual interview dress/suit jacket/high heels, or something practical that says I can get down and dirty and dig holes to put bodies in with the best of them. His advice was "Whatever you do, don't wear that dress you've got with the zombies on." My response? "Which one?"
Yes, this will be the perfect job for me. Ten quid an hour and all the revenants I can raise.

Any response from them yet?

Date: 2012-01-30 11:45 pm (UTC)Plus, the gravedigger giving me the interview/tour had a chainsaw in his workshop, so it's possible that he's had problems with people raising the dead before and he might not think it was that funny. Apparently he "lost" his assistant back in November - he wasn't more specific than that, ominously!
Yeah, I got through to the second round (fifty three people applied, can you believe it? You wouldn't think it'd be so popular!) and now I have to get interviewed by the parish commisioners. PArt of the job involves standing around at the funerals looking appropriately grave (SORRY!), so I guess they want to check out candidates'... sadness faking skills, or something.

I'll bust it out for my first funeral. It's sure to be a hit with all the weepy old church-going ladies.
