And then Daddy Winchester saved the ENTIRE WORLD with the power of a two-minute non-speaking cameo in which he gazed tearfully at his boys while Jensen Ackles tried and failed to conceal the fact that he has EPIC GAY LOVE for Jeffrey Dean Morgan. I can't fault his taste, but it does bring enough creepy subtext to the show to make me glad John didn't come back permenantly.

Watching the end of season two now, I honestly cannot see how I missed it the first time around. Ghost Daddy Winchester is all like, "I'm so proud of my boys", manly tear, and Dean is like, OMG TAKE ME NOW DADDY, and Daddy Winchester is like, "...I'm going to Heaven now..." *flies away*

Good thing Ellen and Bobby were buys trying to close that grave or whatever, otherwise it would have been SUPER AWKWARD for them to be around Dean ever again.
