Tum-tiddly-tee-dee! Well, I still have a cold, but today I have also enjoyed a breakfast of the Most Delicious Tastiness which was, as with everything fun, paid for by somebody else, in this case my Dad. Just got back from a trip to Boston Spa, which was lovely in the way of pretty villages (trees, grass, river, obligatory teashop called Ye Olde Somethingsomething) but also had an awesome model shop where Dad found a scale model of some coach/tram/bus thing that his family started back before WWII, and also bought me a new Dalek to be friends with Percy von Dalek of Dalekton Hall. I might call the new one Edward, but I haven't firmly settled on it yet. There was a model of the General Lee and the Batmobile (the proper 60's Batmobile, not that Battank thing) too, but they were just models and couldn't be played with. So, Edward.

In other news, I suck. The very day I said I wasn't buying anymore DVDs until MV and Deadwood came out, I saw the new Torchwood DVD in Sainsburys and caved. But now, definately and without a doubt, nothing until March 20th. Even if it means I must wear a blindfold when out and about in town. Anyway, enough of my weakness. Exciting news, an old friend from way back in the days when I actually went to anime conventions has got a job here in Leeds, and will hopefully be moving up here in the near future. So yay for that!

Also, Torchwood is very Welsh and not in a fun way. I am sticking with it out of a deeply held conviction that it will eventually get better (Cyberwoman, I hate you! You look like She-Ra and are not scary At All) but I think it needs more monkies and perhaps some pirates. Everything is better with monkies, and most things are better with pirates.

On a completely different note, Beeston library sucks. I mean, I know we have the big lovely one next to the Art Gallery, but seriously, it's almost an insult to call that little shack with it's three Catherine Cookson titles and row after row of Mills and Boon a library. I wish we hadone of those cool mobile libraries. It could drive around and fight crime!

Anyway, that's about all that's happened to me this week, and my time is almost up, so hugs and kisses and I am off to the real library to get some actual books. Farewell!

Cyberwoman is one of the most dreadful episodes of anything that I've ever watched ever. *is still bitter* Pirates would definietely have been made that episode much more interesting. Torchwood gets mostly better, although I'm biased because I suddenly realised that I didn't like it, and our relationship soured after that. ;) But Ianto is hot!

And Captain Jack would have had to seduce the priates to distract them and Ianto could have felt betrayed and alone without all the ETERNAL ANGST. And the rest of the series could have been How Torchwood Dealt With Pirates. FOR THE WIN!

Which would have meant they could hire more people and then be REALLY competant and then the next season would show them with a big budget and able to fight aliens properly, like Torchwood One and Ianto and Jack would have had a penhouse suite together ...
