I always thought Lost was confusing to me because I only ever saw random episodes at a friend's house or when I was home for a weekend, and because the only person I know who's really into it is Jonathan, whose skill at explaining things so incoherently that it leaves the listener more baffled than before outstrips even my own ("It's like a proper devil island! And there's people and stuff. Oh, and polar bears, and there's like, this hole in the ground and it's fully messed up..."). But now I realise, it's because it makes absolutely no fucking sense. I've given up trying to follow the plotlines and am going to content myself with giggling over Charlie and perving on Sawyer and Sayid. And Sawyer/Sayid. And Sayid/Sawyer and pretty much any variations on that theme.

And speaking of Sawyer, what is he, like Lost's answer to Trowa Barton? Or possibly Yuki, on account of them sharing anti-Trowa tendancies like having nice hair and actual personalities. But seriously, what is this mindset of "Oh hey, you know that guy who totally ruined my life? Yeah, I'm going to take his name. That'll show him, the rapist/shyster/rich boy scum!" Christ Almighty, go to a therapist already.

But, fuck it, right? Because ultimately it's all about the hot men, which Lost has in spades. And by "in spades", I mean "three of". Because Boone is a whiny metrosexual who fancies his own sister, and Jack has stupid hair and makes this weird chicken-face when he's sad.

Charlie's lovely. Slightly deranged, with the imaginary peanut butter thing, but lovely. Plus bonus points for that scene where he yaks all over the photocopier.

Oh please. Boone has that weird thing where it looks like he has a monobrow even though he doesn't and is generally fugly and useless. And, lest we forget, he wants to bone his sister. That's just not right!

Which three? *is curious* And Boone is HOT--well, okay, Ian Somerhalder is hot--and you will be very happy come either the end of season one or somewhere in season two, because there is a very satisfactory main character death in there! *DOOOOOM* *pause* Ah, actually, there's a couple, those people drop like flies from the whatever-the-fuck-it-is-that's-wandering-the-bush.

Oh, and btw, Jason Marsden had a, like, two-minute, two-lines of three words each part in Fun With Dick and Jane in which he had a goatee. I can't decide it that's hot or disturbing . . .

One of them is William Shatner in the jungle, one of them is the President of the USA. Ultimately, I think Locke needs to knife them both.

Everyone loves Charlie. He's just so... Charlie! I love that whole thing with him and Claire's diary, and that scene where Sawyer is pretending to read extracts from it: "Dear Diary, I'm getting really freaked out by that has-been pop star. I think he's stalking me [...] the little limey runt just won't let up."

I got frustrated with the confusing lack of sense in series one and abandoned it... but I'm back to watching it again now that series two is on XP Yes, for me it is all about Sawyer, Jin and Sayid, though. Charlie doesn't count as fanciable because he's all squishy, and Jack... well, I think you summed it up pretty well.

And he is stupid.

Charlie's just so cute and-and-and hobbity and awww! Plus he gets all the really funny lines, except for that one episode with the boar that is picking on Sawyer, because everything's funnier when you have pigs that hate Sawyer.

See, I hate Jin purely on the basis that he is stupid Gavin from Angel, and I'm still bitter Lindsey never pushed him out of a window and then ran him over with a truck. Though the whole zombie thing was pretty funny too.

I like Jin because he is cute, and I hadn't realised that he'd been in Angel... Perhaps it's just been too long since I watched Angel. I did like Lindsey.

I was gonna say something really crude about all the people who want to poke Charlie, but I'm not going to. Because that would be crass.

He was the lawyer W&H brought in to be Lilah's new partner in crime after Lindsey left in season 2. And he sucked. He tried to use building regulations to threaten Team Angel and it was just very lame and embarrasing for everyone. Except Lindsey, who was probably kicking back with his evil hand and a tequila somewhere in Texas and laughing about all those people who are going to have to put up with his dumbass replacement.
