If he WASN'T a cop, then the goatee would be stupid and have no purpose, BUT as a cop, clearly Jason needs the goatee to help him look mildly less useless at cop-being than he would otherwise appear.

True Blood would be so much better if there was LESS STUFF TO DO WITH VAMPIRES. And witches, and fairies, and basically ALL THE SUPERNATURAL THINGS. Including the crazy Hotshot werepanthers, who I would have been willing to tolerate if only the FX for the panthers were about as convincing as the animatronic cat playing Salem in Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
