I have not seen Sweeney Todd or Sleepy Hollow, the movie. The tv show, the two eps I've seen, is weirdly amusing. Much of the humor comes from the 250 year old man, Ichabod Crane, responding to modern life. Tom Mision, the actor who plays him, has some Johnny Depp attributes, eg, slender, with long brown hair.
